Default Shipping pets ashes... is this allowed?

We have had a very sad end to the year... having had to put our beloved 14 year old little dog to sleep.

She was a genuine family member and we are keeping her ashes after cremation.

We are planning to come back to the UK in 2014 and I wonder if anyone knows what the rules are with regards to bringing pet ashes?

Personally and i hope this doesn't sound cold, but i'd just put them into my checked luggage and leave it at that.

Yes, we actually asked the movers this and they said they were no special rules. Pack them with your stuff to ship or bring them in your luggage. It's all fine.

I'm so sorry about your little friend. It's heartbreaking I know.

Hi there, really sorry to hear about your loss

We actually had a customer who has asked this before so we contacted AHVLA (Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency) who are responsible for this area who confirmed that there are NO restriction on the movement of ashes of pets into the UK so you'll be free to bring her back with you.
