Shipping odd items back
Hi,
I live in a part of the world (Gulf) with very cheap ceramic tiles. I know these will be useful in the house I will be building in the UK. Can I add them into the container I will be shipping at contracts end? I am likely to have plenty of room in there. Are they very strict on 6 month ownership for this type of thing? Proof of purchase required etc?
many thanks

A couple of hundred sqft or so of tile is unlikely to attract much if any scrutiny. If you're thinking of shipping a quantity to resell, you may have two problems: firstly it is much more likely to attract attention and lead to questions, and secondly tile is heavy as **** and will cause eyebrows to be raised when the payload weight of the container is noticed.
BTW Make sure the tile is stacked on its edge in the container, like toast in a rack, because if the tiles are shipped flat, as they will be installed on a floor, all you will have when you unpack in the UK are boxes of shattered tiles.
