I have secured transport for my dog through BA’s cargo partner but I am worried I am still unclear on what’s required stateside before we leave.
Does anyone have recent experience preparing their dog for cargo transport to the UK from the States?
I know up to date shots are obvious but I’m fuzzy on the USDA paperwork and pet passport. Appreciate any advice/insight. TIA.

We have done it and planning on doing it again this year. Things have certainly changed since Covid and now you have to use a cargo company if you are flying into the UK (about $4k per dog). We are flying two dogs and will fly to Paris via Air France. They can fly excess baggage for $400 each. We will then be picked up by Taxi and travel to UK via chunnel. If you have Facebook, there is group that is a great resource for the requirements for EU and UK. " US Pets to UK via chunnel &alternate routes". Even if you fly cargo into Uk, the requirements are the same and the members on there have all the requirement details for Paperwork.
