We have rented a house and about to apply for a spouse visa. I read as part of the applocation we need to send original documents, there was only 1 original of the rental agreement, the estate agent kept that and made us a copy. Is that OK?
Do we need to get that notarized or can I just send them as is with an additional copy?
I can also send them copy of the deposit/first months invoice as well as a copy of the check used to pay them. Would this be good enough as proof of accomodation?

If I may ask, how did you go about renting the house? I'd love to get something sorted before I arrive in the UK in October but don't know how to go about renting somewhere.

I'd get the original notarized, it won't cost much and it's better to be safe.
