Hi Nushooz,

how's it going with the car selling etc?
We had someone call us up today to say they'd buy our car for $7000 on the spot........It's on for $9,500 ( reduced from $10,300 ). Hubbie told him where to go. But - I know we'll have to accept something lower than we''ve advertised - just not $7k!
Have sold off everything else really. Just living on basic cushions on floor stuff now and picnic chairs!
Shipping guys come on Jan 30th and we fly out 3 days later. Had a moment lastnight of "can't believe we're going - feels like we just got here!" EEK!

*pearly*

Hey there, nope not sold my car or OH's van yet. We also have one quad for sale (sold 2 already).
Looks like we will have to take them to a garage and get peanuts for them. I have reduced my car 5k but still no offers.

When we get back to UK we will lease cars from now on, you lose too much money on them no matter what.
Sold everything else though. We are sleeping on the floor and sitting on a sofa bed...fun times ahead:eek:

Have you tried putting signs up in supermarkets/newsagents etc?
We only ever buy cheap second hand cars. Would always prefer a cheap and nasty car if it meant I could have a better house. What's that old saying - buy a car you can afford to throw away and buy a house you can't afford.
We got an offer on the car lastnight but just a bit too short of what we're willing to go down to. Holding out for some barter but they haven't got back to us. FRUSTRATING! If we have to sell it to a garage then we will.
Feel like time is flying past now.

WOO - HOO!! Just sold the car!!
Sold it for only $700 less than the asking price so not too bad at all.

Fortunately we've got the loan of a car from a mate until we leave in 4 weeks!!

SIGH - that's one more hassle out of the way!

*pearly*x

It was actually lower than this over the new year but i forget exactly what it went down to.
I am just guessing, but would hang on to see what happens next week when everyone gets back to work after the holiday. Might go even lower!!
