The obvious places are Oxford and Cambridge. I have no idea of how many state schools have rowing teams, but quite a number of private schools do (eg. Abingdon School, Latymer, Hampton). Perhaps they may offer scholarships for talented rowers?

Also if you do a Yahoo.co.uk search for "Schools Rowing Association" you will get a number of results for places such as Nottingham, Lancaster, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Cardiff etc. etc.

Hi we have just visited Exeter and the river was full of rowers....then again on our recent trips we have seen scene's like that in places you would not automatically dream of.....I would google areas you think you might like....North,South etc then start to corner it down with good schools with rowing facilities and also rowing clubs. I actually went to a High School in Manchester and we had Wind Surfing, Canoeing and Rowing...plus all the other typical Sports and all in our School grounds so have a good look at areas you might like but think might not have those facilities...you could be surprised. good luck
