Any ideas? Estate agents don’t respond, thought maybe there are companies that help with this kind of thing but I can only find corporate relocations.

Hi , I would try and look at holiday rentals as the time of year your thinking of returning would be quite quiet and a lot cheaper than other times of the year. Good luck xx

I agree. Here are a couple of Norfolk cottage companies that offer this, but beyond these, you could research cottages and ask the owners if it is a possibility. First link below, one cottage is in Aylsham, ten miles from Norwich with frequent buses.

They look really good, Norwich and the surrounding areas are also very easy to drive around.

Yes indeed I do need a visa hence why we are so keen to get accommodation sorted. We could put my father-in-laws address but he is in London (we want to settle in Norwich) and also don’t really want to take cats there.

I did see an option to pick on the form if you didn’t have an address confirmed at the time of applying but from your comment I imagine they prefer that we’ve locked something in.

As far as I understand you need to provide an address of accommodation that you can stay in on arrival, so as not to be homeless. There is no obligation to stay there all the time. You can use your relative's address with their proof of consent and ownership and bio page of their passport. . Drop your bags there and possibly the cats temporarily and then go to Norfolk to look for accommodation.
