Question re: Green Card conditions
Hi
I am a Danish citizen married to a US citizen and we have done DCF for
my greencard. However, I am having to apply for waiver of
Excludability due to a 1yr+ overstay.
Meantime I have been employed in a good job in Denmark, but we still
want to go through with the visa application so that I can travel to
meet my inlaws. We have not been married 2 year yet so my greencard
will be conditional. Can we apply for removal of conditions if we live
outside US?
If not, how can I be travelling between Denmark and the US without
having too much hassle at the POE.
Thank You
Dennis

Re: Question re: Green Card conditions
Dennis,
You can always apply. But if you are living outside of the US it may well be that your have nothing to remove conditions from. The status means what it says - permanent and resident.
Sometimes it's useful to call something by its real name if one is to understand.

Re: Question re: Green Card conditions
I didn't think we could, but I was just making sure. Is there anything
that I can do to be able to travel back and forth even after the
greencard expires? Can I travel under the VWP, given that my 10 year
ban is waived?
Thank you

Re: Question re: Green Card conditions
No, you would need a tourist visa. You cannot use the visa waiver program
once you have committed an immigration offence.
