Passport back service tls
Hi All,
reading this forum and various other articles/posts, it seems with passport back service the following happens:
You get your passport from tls contact but need to re submit it when granted visa and do not need to re submit if not granted .
I know some people say you need to submit it regardless but I have just double checked the tls contact letter and can confirm it does say decision will be emailed if it was rejected and if accepted they ask you to re submit your passport.
now on the form it does say, it takes up to 4 working days to stick the vignette in the passport following submission however have read various members saying they have been waiting more than 2 weeks after submission and still nothing .
difficulty is we have applied from a country where partner is not resident in so if passport is re submitted then partner has tp stay there which is expensive on hotel costs etc as we don't know how long we should wait.
is there an option of posting the passport and ask for it to be posted back to us if we did not select this option initially ?
alternatively there are agents who for a relatively small amount, collect passport , submit and then re send it back to you however I am afrid they may sell the passport to someone or simply don't do it. have heard this happening to some so it isn't an option really .
from my knowledge , you also won't get the decision made email from visasheffo and instead get an email from VAC saying UKVI has made a decision and submit passport, after this you get the decision made once VAC has released your passport.
checked this with a friend whom applied in 2013 and he said that is what happened to them.

Which visa was applied for? Are you the applicant or the sponsor?
