Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
The UK Government just sent me an email with the response posted to the petition to allow overseas UK citizens to vote, scrapping the 15 year time limit. I am pleased to see that they are "committed to scrapping the time limit on voting from overseas". Please sign the petition, if you haven't already. Every signature helps.

And he is Mexican enough to point out that America is a continent, not a country. (He's a teenager, so he knows everything.)

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
So how is everyone?
We are having some nice rain out here in the US desert.
The weather in the UK seems to be on a roller coaster having snow one day and a heat wave on another. Maybe a little exaggerated?
Is everyone out shopping today in England or other places.
I've got to go out and get some milk which is very low in price at $1.75 per gallon. I can't get my brain to do the math and to convert to pounds and convert to Imperial gallon. Sorry.
I wish on these rainy days that I was in the UK!
Cheers.

Busy busy busy! Landscaping our garden. Yes the weather is typical on one day here in Bucks we had sunshine first, cloud, rain, sun, cloud then thunder and lightening hail and rain! We just work in between it all. Going to try take a day off today and go find some bluebells in the woods to photograph so I can paint a typical English scene. Still happy here and glad to have returned to our neck of the woods on the edge of the Chilterns.

Oh that's so great to hear you are happy in your return, feelbritish!
I agree, weather is usually more changeable in UK than here in USA...
I hope I won't miss the bluebells, I return near the end of April....there should be some left to see. One of the loveliest sights (and smells)!

I cant believe it was June last year I was last here... I wonder how everyone is..I truly hope some of you have made it back to the UK... I am here and so happy to be here, still struggle everyday with being with out my grown up children.... but lucky enough to get back 3 times last year and already once this with next visit planned for August. I was wondering if Trotty still posts and all the old suspects.. saw a few names on this last page I recognise..I hope everyone is well. x
