As you know we're north of the city and we've been selling bigger items such as furniture, but it's also worked well for us.

This morning I'll be getting 2 cars safetied (one will be gifted to a son and the other is spoken for already at a fair price to a friend).

Tomorrow of course we'll be getting arseholed at the Yard.

See you there.

Very stressed at moment. Were meant to have inspection today on house. Last night were told buyer cancelled it and he wants it day before conditions lifted. He wants time to go to Regional district to check out house plans and all that. When we moved in some work was done without planning but what did we know, we were immigrants from UK just off boat. Anyway we think he is doing this to squeeze more money for us, leaving us just 3 weeks to pack up home. We do not even have anywhere to go to nor can we plan until 27th when all conditions are lifted. OH is ready to walk away and cancel the whole business of leaving here. Great thing at moment is we have our friends here from UK and they are taking our mind off all this while we holiday with them. Sorry we ever baught here now

Having bought/sold our eight family homes as well as investment property in the past 40 odd years, my advice is that you sit tight & don't stress

When the purchaser made the offer they included conditions such as inspection & title search, which you agreed to - so let them do that. No different if the shoe had been on the other foot.

When the conditions have been lifted & the waiver signed off then crack open the bottle of plonk. In the meantime you have zero control till the 27th.

I would suggest that you move forward with as though its all a done deal to prep the ready to go temp accommodations, how many boxes you'll need to pack & start chucking now what you wont be taking with you

We are having the usual 100+ degree temps here in the rockies.
Oh to be in the Lake District instead.
Cheers

How long is it since you spent a summer there? Even though I had broken my neck, back, ribs etc., once I rented a wheelchair from the Red Cross, it was an amazing summer. My brother would help me out to the gardens of ours and neighbors, all backing onto the Belfast Botanic Gardens. Lots of high jinks :-) the silly people got big sunburns.....me after 42 years in TX.....stayed in the shade. Can't wait to spend the next few weeks packing up to go permanently again.

It looks to me that Europe has been invaded by Africa!
Look at all the boats arriving in Italy.

My son is telling me he is getting his British Passport and he says it doesn't allow him to stay in the UK (rhyme there?) or work there.
