I am a bit weird though  is that ok?

Can I join in here too? Unlike the rest of you I am completely normal  :o

As much as I would love to jump on the next plane out of here, we have a few things to sort first. Putting in our application for citizenship today so we will wait for that, mainly for my daughters benefit. Husband has a franchise to sell, house to sell. Oh and just small things like finding a job and somewhere to live. All pretty minor!

Hoping to be gone by about May next year...seems such a long way away..... On the upside we'll get back to back summers (British weather willing!)

We'll be leaving our 23 year old son behind and hoping my 15 year old daughter doesnt find the love of her life between now and then. She will hopefully start sixth form in September back home.

There is so much to sort out, sometimes feels like it's all too much effort.

I hope you guys who are getting home sooner will post updates on the trials and tribulatons of being back, it's what keeps me going.

Yup, I can relate to that. I have this intuitive feeling that I will have to tell myself, 'be strong' when we eventually leave. I can imagine me having to be ruthless or I'll waver.

I believe that once the house is sold, that will be my, 'no going back' moment. It'll be a while before it goes on the market.

This will be a great place for us all to post our progress. I will defiantly up date on here as we go along. We are only renting here and have a house in England which we rent out. So we will be looking for another home to move into, daughters school to sort out too. :D

We are hoping to be gone by March, April next year and that also seems along way away so I know how you feel. Once xmas is over it will be all systems go for us.

You say that you are completely normal  Talk to me a bit longer and thatll soon change.

Auto trader had a ten dollar deal on where you could list your car for ten dollars. I haven't investigated what it entails as we'll have our car for a few years yet.

However, it has dawned on me to sell the car and just hire a rental car for the last couple of weeks that we are here.

Best laid plans............:fingerscrossed:

Put it on Trade Me about 1 month before you fly...

Say in your advert that it can't be released to the new owner until 1 week before you fly...

Then as SnapShot said...hire for one week....you will also have you transport to take you to the airport.....YAY....another problem solved!!!!

:fingerscrossed:
