Get a good overcoat and an umbrella and go to London. That is where the jobs are and it is warmer and less rainy than the north.

Like every other country in the northern hemisphere, the further south that you go in the UK, the warmer it is.

Cornwall is the warmest part of the UK, in the extreme south-west, and is a popular holiday destination in summer because of that. It is also well known for the large number of high-tech and IT companies that have located themselves there to take advantage of being closer to the USA.

They must be taking advantage of the wind and rain power opportunities down there.

I think the tech companies get as far west as Swindon and realise the M4 is not that quick.

The main areas of IT in the UK are London city, London Docklands, Bracknell, Reading, Swindon (M4 tech corridor) and Cambridge.

I know, it's so sad - when you left, the country just fell apart!
