I have been a permanent resident in the USA since May 2005. I am Married
to a citizen and have a citizen son. I also have a daughter from a prior
marriage. My husband and I need to go back overseas and work. (its too
expensive here!!!) I understand I need to spend 18 months in the USA out
of 36. I've heard that I should not leave for more than 6 months. Does
this mean I can go back to Taiwan and just fly back for a day every six
months. I would like to do 9 months in the front, and then leave for 18
months, coming back to touch USA soil every six months until the final 9
months when I would return forever.
Like this...May 2005-Feb-2006 Live in USA Feb 2006 August 2006 in
Taiwan Aug 2006 quick USA visit Aug 2006-Feb 2007 in Taiwan Feb quick
visit to USA August retirn to USA permanently.

Also, If I can just come back and touch base every 6 months, must I
bring my daughter who is also trying to gain citizenship?
