In contrast to Spain, the town centre is dead in the evenings, and going out for a meal has resulted in nothing but disappointment - bad, expensive food - but then we were spoiled in that department in asia - so we end up staying in and cooking.

On the other hand, the weather is so pleasant in contrast to other places - not to hot, not to cold, the scenery is beautiful and green and varied, the produce is fantastic and day to day living is easy.

I think we'll move on again in the not too distant future - but purely because of the social wasteland - nothing to do with the whole recession/nanny britain rubbish that you read in the papers. I miss evenings out with friends having a leisurely drink and dinner.

Think about what it is that you really enjoy about life, and find the country that provides it - ignore the papers, it's all sensationalist rubbish.

 what town centre do you live in mate???

Obviously you moved to the wrong town if it's dead on an evening. I live near Leeds and the place is full on, all day every day, it's mental, just like me and just how i like it:rofl:

I never knew Leeds had such a reputation, I always thought that Mr.Sutcliffe had permanently frightened the local talent from the streets.

Hahahahaha........gay bars are pretty cool, especially if I`ve got a sexy blonde female companion to keep me safe all night long.;)

I one-eyed ripper with an eye-patch, now that`s kinky.

Not only that, but all the toilets (in most bars) are unisex. I love to see the variety in size and volume.

Fab night out, much better than Spain.:p

Well...beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in Mr.Sutcliffe`s case only in one.

Cut out the kebabs, burgers, fish & chips and I`m sure you`ll lose even more kilos. It`s all a question of dedication really.

I know this is a load nonsense, as I`m convinced you`re a sweet size 10 or 12 at most!
