Thanks JAJ We are on that one, going through the motions with the local british high commision.will take 2 years before she can get her british pastport though.

Hi not sure how much a brit licence is these days but once you have one they last almost your whole life and you dont have to pay an annual fee .

yeah cool i looked into it and all in all it will cost me a 1000.00 pounds with leason and everything sheesh thats quite a bite out of my saving since 1 pound = 13.5 trinidada dollars!!!!!

you might be able to get your partner in on a settlement visa,spouses of uk citizens can go to the uk on a settlement visa,,only costs $1300 AUD,

I think you'll find it's 3 years for naturalisation, not 2.
Two years is the time required to get permanent residence (indefinite leave to remain).
