Has anyone moved just a couple of boxes back to the UK? I can't afford to ship anything large back but my daughter has some toys and stuff that I think she should be allowed to bring back and of course there is always paperwork and personal items you can't fit in a suitcase.
Thanks guys

plus we layered as many clothes as we possibly could. It was summer and I know I was wearing 3 layers of underwear alone, leggings, sweats, etc I tied stuff around me because they don't weigh what you have on your body and can carry onto the plane and then once on board you can make yourself comfortable.I've not personally moved just boxes back but I think there are companies who do that. For paperwork, scan everything and take electronic files on memory sticks with you including photos or upload them to a cloud environment. For personal items that are sentimental or valuable I would if you can hand carry them on the plane with you.

Thanks bromleygirl
Have visions of myself looking like a Michelin man trying to waddle onto the plane with about 15 layers of clothes on! Thanks I so needed that chuckle.
You do have some really valid points so I will be getting a memory stick and an external drive this weekend to start scanning and downloading stuff.

Hi B2B, sorry to hear you're coming back under such difficult circumstances. Have you checked with your airline about costs for accompanied cargo? I believe both Air Canada and Air Transat do it. When I came back 2 years ago I travelled A/T and could have brought far more than I did at little extra cost had I lived closer to my point of international departure. If you live near to where you're flying out from and its easy to get your excess boxes to the airlines cargo depot I don't think its terribly expensive. Worth investigating anyway. Good luck

I didn't know that either, I will see what Air Transat say. Thanks everyone for the kind wishes and advice, it is truly appreciated.

parcel2go.com offer international pickup for delivery to the UK at fairly reasonable rates.

When I moved back to Canada from the UK, I found a vacuum bag type product was a lifesaver. I got SOOO much stuff in my suitcases thanks to these.
