Moving back from Canada to the UK
Not too sure if this is the correct location.
Has anyone moved back from Canada to the UK?
if so what were the pitfalls?
How did you arrange a job when you first returned?

Hi,
My wife and I moved back from Canada after 14 years just over a week ago.
Biggest downfalls so far seem to be car insurance, and having zero credit score as we have been gone so long.
Car insurance, we got letter from Canadian insurance agent stating no at fault accidents. Adrian Flux kind of accepts this. so 1st year you have zero no claims, 2nd year you have 1 year from UK, plus no claims from Canada. So if you had 5 years from Canada after 1 year in UK you get 6 years UK no claims.
As for job, I have been lucky both ways. I transferred with the company I work for.

Aviva gave us max no claims discount based on our ICBC bc car insurance records
