Think thats stretching it a bit, most Macdonalds in the UK are still in town centres or crammed into city streets! I agree there are some but they aren't as common as in the US or Aus yet.
Car parks and car washes would be a tricky problem thoguh.

Do they? No wonder I've never seen one.

Sad as I am, because the 5 McD's I could think of near me are all drive thru (in my defence Novo, I visit one very occasionally and then often just for a coffee!), I've just googled it. 1200 McD's in the U.K. and in 2013 nearly 800 of them (most recent stats I could find) were drive thrus so 70% ish? Probably more now if guess, but definitely the majority are drive thrus.

I imported a Honda from South Africa and luckily the steering was the same. I had to have fog lights fitted. The problem came as mentioned was parts, they were different specs and I would have to wait for them to arrive from SA. I was broken into and the window was slightly thinner so again had to wait for it to be imported. It suited me at the time but I would not do it again. For a fleeting moment I thought of importing our Canadian car but soon dismissed it! Second hand cars are cheap here. I would hire one when you need it at first and use public transport. Once living here for a while I would then consider if it is necessary.

Thanks,
I'm convinced and will be selling the car. We will rent initially.
I'm now researching importing cats so I've moved on through the alphabet! 😜

But at least they won't need to be fitted with fog lights!
