Medication and finding a GP
So i have a chronic cardiac condition (an arrhythmia) which is controlled with two medications, for which I need to see my cardiologist every six months to confirm it's still doing OK and not creating any problems. One is a beta blocker and one is an anti-arrhythmic. I can get two months worth of medication for my move back to the UK, but concerned about finding a GP who is accepting new patients, and a possible referral to a cardiologist. Or just not being able to continue on the medication.... I know it's a question for my cardiologist here, to see if I can continue to get prescriptions and have them forwarded over there while we find our medical home, but has anyone gone through anything similar? Any suggestions?

Re: Medication and finding a GP
As always it is going to be post code dependent. When I returned I had a diagnosed irregularity, Atrial Fibrillation, but was not on any prescription drugs for it as it was paroxysmal. I also had a prescription drug I was taking for something else.
When I returned I registered and made an appointment with a GP who put me on the same prescription as she said it was exactly what was used here for the same condition. I also brought with me the test results and doctor notes on my heart condition and she referred me to the cardiology department of my local hospital. They saw me within a few weeks and 2 years later I had an ablation procedure to fix the issue.
However, we returned in 2016 so things might well be quite different now.
