Interesting. Just look at what chicken nuggets and black pudding are made from. Anything that can be used to make a dollar/quid I suspect. Have to say though, have never been able to find decent black pudding here. Even the seemingly best just turns to mush if you try to fry it. Gross

I never knew Black pudding was pig's blood until i was told only afew weeks ago.
But what are the white things in it. (fat i presume)

Ingredients:- Salt, natural onion flavour (wheat), natural chicken flavours, flavour enhancer (621), spice flavour, mineral salt (341).....the 'natural' chicken flavours are apparently ground bones.

My dad has always loved his black pudding, pigs trotters and faggots. I never tried the trotters or faggots though (didn't appeal to me as a kid). We had quite good black pudding and sausages (Peach brand). But the OZ stuff I've tried is just miserable. And now the only tinned corned beef in OZ that doesn't contain offal (beef hearts, which taste and texture is foul) is imported Fray Bentos.

I'm not much of an offal fan though the odd lambs fry and bacon, or kidneys in a homemade steak n kidney pie are great.
