Default Letting people know you're back

Hi just wondered, I won't be working when I return to the UK (I'll officially be on mat leave from Australia) but will I need to let the UK tax office know I'm back? I'll registered with a GP/hospital/dentist, but do I need to do anything else?

I'll be celebrating with a full page ad in the local paper
No idea what else, sorry.

Still laughing at what mummyinthefoothills said...

Yeah you need to get on the electoral roll, as otherwise it's hard to get credit etc (you might not want to borrow money but eg mobile phone contract etc).

Could you do that from here online using a relative's address, or do you physically have to be there and sign something?

I'm not sure how you'd do it from over there, I did it from the UK the government sent out a letter, I filled in the form and sent it back.

Try this website, it has links to most government departments on it
