International Credit Checks

Back in the UK and a year in we're applying for a mortgage.... Can/will any of the UK credit agencies check our record abroad (in Canada)?

This question has come up a few times on BE, I remember a similar query from someone living in Canada and from memory the answer was no, a Canada credit report can't be accessed by UK lenders (I'd assume it'd be similar for the US).

That's just something I remember though, I'm no expert so best to wait until someone with a bit more knowledge comes along
