Two good property sites that may be of use:

Net House Prices - free service where you can find out what any house in England, Wales and Scotland sold for! Great for researching what the seller actually paid!

Property Snake - this one estate agents tried to ban because it shows properties that have been reduced. It actually helps sell properties, but I think the estate agents complained because it makes it look like the market is faltering.

I don't have any involvement with either site. I just use them a lot

WOW!! Just the sites I've been looking for, thank you!!

OH's ears pricked up when I mentioned the sites also. Gives us hope after all.
