I've got Comfy Slipper Syndrome..........I'm home! Mr Oldbag and I arrived Monday morning in Manchester to bright blue skies and warm sunshine.........couldn't have been a better welcome. I must confess to feeling not a pang as we took off from Toronto and looked down at all those straight roads full of twinkling lights; I was so happy that it was one way tickets in my bag. Sure, there'll be some things I'll miss, but having my family within easy-visiting distance more than makes up for that. One of the best things was when my 87 year old mum said to me, with tears in her eyes, that she had missed me so much and couldn't believe she'd never have to say Goodbye again; the other was getting a phone call from my daughter, saying the same thing.
You can keep your big houses, huge gardens and swimming pools, and all the material possessions.......I have what I want......the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And if that sounds cheesey.....too bad!

You sound like you're on top of the world, both literally and figuratively!
Congratulations! I hope to be in much the same position in about 6 months time (also in Manchester).
