I give up...

3 layers of off insect repellent, citronella candles, belt repellent and still I got 5 new mossy bites. I am clearly too delicious to go outside until we get frost in Texas

Pray tell. For laughs.

No mozzies up here thankfully. In fact the first flies I saw today were only because we had a housewarming party with food open for a while. Not even any ants which surprises me.

Avon skin so soft. We used to buy tons for summertime.

Works quite well with Texas Mosquitos, which are tiny things!

No way, almost 10 years here and I still react really badly to them. Sometimes I get lumps as big as a nickle around :(

Got it, used it, failed :(
I am usually pretty delicious, but since having baby Weeze mark ii, I am even more so. I also appear to be getting more allergic. They swell up incredibly impressively.

I suppose I should think how many bites I would have had without all my protection! At least I draw the attention of every mossy in the neighborhood so the kids are left alone.

Oh I forgot, also, bug zapper was on.

The most impressive circle on my leg is the width of a baseball. Pretty soon I am just going to be one big bite.

I heard an old wives tale about eating bovril and how that repels mozzies. I actually do eat bovril on toast a couple times a week and the mozzies do not like me. They can be buzzing all around my husband when we're sitting together but leave me alone, weird but good.;)

It's one of the B Vitamins that is supposed to protect you, and it's in high concentration in Bovril.

Deet eats rubber and plastic...but it is sure good at stopping the bugs too.

I don't know. We've had tiger mosquitoes when I live in east Texas. Regular mosquitoes make you go "ow, well, got bitten again." Tiger mosquitoes have you yell "OW *****ING HELL THAT HURT!" Freaking armor piercing stingers.

I'm a bit frightened of using DEET though as you are ment to wash it off before babies can ingest any. Mini Weeze mkii licks my arms and shoulders a lot. I think I'll just have to put up with the bites and cover myself in as much other stuff as I can.

Hell, what you need is baby repellant then ;)

Canadian hubby's advice who lived where the black flies thought humans were appetizers advises do not use anything that has a scent to it, i.e. soap, perfume, hair spray, deodrant, shampoo, etc. There are plants that can control mostiquos and I believe one is lavendar.
