how long can my american fiancee stay in uk
hi can anbody help how long can my american fiancee stay in uk and would we be able to marry in uk as we are unlikley to get to do it in usa because of my criminal past thanks

If your better half hasn't some form of entry clearance she is allowed to stay for upto 6 months. And, having just married my American fiancee in the UK with her just coming over as an ordinary tourist I would've thought you'd be eligible to do the same.

If your better half hasn't some form of entry clearance she is allowed to stay for upto 6 months. And, having just married my American fiancee in the UK with her just coming over as an ordinary tourist I would've thought you'd be eligible to do the same.

I made entries into Manchester 3 times: November 2002, April 2003, and
June 2003, all the times was given 6 months in my passport. Did get a
hard time by the official on the third visit ("I see you have been here
before!") plus detained for about 15 minutes, but still was allowed in
(are you limited in the number of visits per year you can make?....I've
heard some people from Visa Waiver countries that have visited the US
frequently have been denied entrance, told they needed a visa......????)
