Hi all
As you know I am moving back to the UK as a single parent, probably just with a few suitcases and the cat. My question is can anyone recommend a pet transport company? He is an English cat, has all his rabies etc kept up to date.
I have just been quoted $2,000 to fly him back from Calgary to Gatwick, he has to come because my daughter loves him and the ex won't take him. :
Thanks everyone

Wow didn't know that.
Do I contact the airline to ask about transporting him as 'excess baggage'??

Of course you need to do the import paperwork yourself but it's not hard

Unfortunately I am not flying with Air Canada, only cheapo Air Transat and I can't find anything on their website with regard to 'excess baggage'.

Oh, I didn't realise you'd already booked. If you're flying into UK then you have no choice but cargo due to DEFRA rules.

We used a fab company in Atlanta but it cost over $4,000 for 2 cats, so you wouldn't be any happier with their quote. Sorry
