Default House selling..argghhhhhh

Hi All

Thought I would post a topic close to home....selling a pigging house..arghhhhhhhh.

We have now cancelled contract with our Agents as they were ***p. Apparently they had a meeting a week or so ago and decided that out house was overpriced but guess what..they decided not to tell us....arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. How fing thick are these guys. I am so furious that in this quiet market they could not get off their fat bums and come speak to us..do you know there main point of communication was by email......whooppps .....hello the telephone has been invented for purely the purpose of TALKING( and smashing against the desk when talking to divvy Estate Agents) We had to call them if we wanted to know any feedback etc...aghhhhhhhhhh I can't believe these people were going to charge us 2.75% for doing what....a bit of advertising and standing about in a suit.

We only ever had a person through ONCE outside any open house hours..moan moan moan..can you tell I'm peed off?

Also people be warned for small print.....some Agents sign you up saying you are allowed to go at any point but indeed what they don't tell you is that yes you can take your house of the market with them but you are NOT allowed to use another agent for the remaining period on your agreement..normally 3 months.

Watch out for this anyone coming and buying these peeps are cunning.!!

So the moral to this story is..don't believe all estate agents they come from a weird planet far far away called "LIE TO THEM" !!!

Needless to say we are now dropping our house price to hopefully a more realistic one where we will get offers....fingers and toes crossed please everyone !!!

Off for another scream in the garden..!!!Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hi there, many thanks for your kind words on my posting.
I have been emptying cupboards, and clearing out all week. Daughters said they had done their rooms before they left, and anything left was to be shipped. I think not, we will need a trailer and a few trips to the dump now that mum has really done the rooms. And a 20ft container not a 40ft one.
Our house will be on the market next week. the b!!!!!!! real estate agents here charge 4%.
It's the buying when we get home that looks scary, have you seen the prices?
2 quotes from shippers in today, both around $10.000 for a 20ft container.
Who the hell thought of emigrating in the first place.
Still it's Friday night, time for a few G&T's.

Our house has been on the market for 3 weeks now and it's not had hardly any interest. We're having our first home open on Sunday though so hopefully we'll get some people through - fingers crossed.

We're shipping back with Pickfords and it's only costing $5,400 (sharing a container) the quote they gave us was for $5,990 but i phoned and said that was more than I'd expected and they dropped the price right away. I couldn't believe it.

Good luck to everyone out there trying to sell.

As you know, all real estate agents belong to the "vermin" group of animals. What gets me, is that in Oz they have to be certified (!), having passed various exams (entitled something like "How to really screw clients") and then they have the nerve to charge 2.5%+....and for what?????

At least in the UK, I can get the same crap service at a much lower price

Hi Pants.............................just keep rubbing that buddha!! It all works out in the end

Our landlord told us last night he is putting up our rent by 15% when the lease expires in September!!! The plan was to stay another 6 months in rented then buy something in the winter months when hopefully prices become more realistic, hadnt planned on a rent increase though

Keep smiling! Angelica

Hi Angelica

I have been rubbing that tummy heaps and the other thing you suggested.

Can the landlord put the rent up 15% just like that? When I rented a flat in the UK with my mate our landlord wanted to put our rent up pretty high basically trying to get rid of us and we got a fair rent valuation or something like that...and it came back that he could only fairly put the rent up so much. I think we had to write all that we had down etc for them to do a valuation...sorry bit vague but it was some years ago. Not sure if they have that now but may be worth trying to find out.

Good luck and take care

P

We're putting our house for sale in the good ole US of A - commission is typically 6-7%.............. Or there again, maybe I'll get certified and become one!

Thinking about it - it is either over to Ontario or back home to Blighty, but probably up North this time. Still dithering....cost of housing being a HUGE factor for me as I have a large family. Also discovered that as much as I detest this province, I detest moving countries more, having done it once or twice.
