Hiya. I am planning on going to college in England for this September. The problem is the college I looked into will not let me pay in payments because of where I am from. (America) I am going to be struggling along with my boyfriend (who lives in uk) to save up this money. The course costs 5,000 pounds in total but I also have to save up money for the immgration and plane ticket as well. I am curious to know if anyone here knows any college in the Liverpool area that will allow a Phase 1 national to pay their course fees in payments? I appreciate any answer that may help.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but you could try and contact the schools themselves. What exactly is a "Phase 1 national"? Is it a non UK/EU student?

You could also try ucas. It is the University and College admission service. I don't know whether The Student Loans Company could be of service to you as your a US national. I do know that there is new regulation coming into effect that allows EU nationals to take advantage of loans offered to UK citizens.....nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Forgot to mention I attended the University of Liverpool. It's an excellent school with large numbers of foreign students. I had numerous europeans, two Canadians and an American on my course alone.
