Help on arrival homeless

Re: Help on arrival homeless
thats it, that was your search. I posted that link along with others way back early in this thread at post #20
So have you looked at all the other links provided including the more recent?
Again & now with all of the supportive help that you have received on this thread, 'what is your plan when you arrive at Manchester airport'? - maybe, just maybe whatever it is that you end up doing could help other homeless British people arriving in the UK

Enough, you have all provided as much advice as possible. Now, he has to sort himself out with the advice he's been given.
Sounds to me like one of those peeps who want everything delivered to them on a golden platter.

People are people, the Salvation army along with all the other shelters is to help the homeless.
If for the reason you are unable to accept the hospitality help from the Salvation Army people because it is Christian organization - then DON'T GO THERE, go to one of my other links for homeless in Manchester.
Why not go instead to the Iranian Association that someone earlier linked, would that be better for you?
Suggest that you contact them before you leave Iran in 2 weeks

Just out of interest Saman...what happened to your girlfriend? I presume her punishment was much, much worse than yours.

Re: Help on arrival homeless
Just because one has a British Citizenship should not make one feel entitled to all those social systems that a previous generation fought hard to achieve.
Instead of thinking 'how to get a council house' think of 'what I can do to deserve a council house'.
In that context getting in touch with the Iranian Association now, while you're still in Iran, seems to be the way. Offer them your recent experience of living in Iran and being imprisoned. I'm sure your information would be useful to them, or they can put you in touch with others who would find your current situation legally useful and be willing to help you for that information.
This might assist you to find your way back to the UK society with dignity...and not arrive as a homeless person.

Re: Help on arrival homeless
My last comments to the OP.
NO council will give you a flat as a single male.you can apply for the waiting list but that's all.All my previous UK council would do is give you the name of the local homeless hostel!
Do as others say, contact the various agencies given.
As your family are paying for your air ticket, that infers you are not being deported so no help when you arrive. Stay in Iran, abide by their laws, save as much as you can THEN come to UK when you can support yourself for a few weeks whilst you get sorted.
Your current answers only give the impression that you are another "UK is land of milk and honey" person.
Yes, it's sad you've had a bad time, but by your own admission you brought it on yourself so you'll get little sympathy from me.
There, I'm done.
