Get in touch with the British High Commission in Canberra for your UK passport, it costs about $250 I think.
I've heard good things about Chess Removals. I'm not sure if they do shared containers. There are a lot of companies out there who will though, you'll just have to wait longer for your stuff.
hey, good luck to you back in good old Blighty though. I hope it all goes well for you

As for the other issues involved in relocating back to the U.K. it really depends on your circumstances.

Of course it depends on the personal situation, but when I moved to the UK from abroad, I took all my stuff back. To be honest it was more of a hassle than it was worth. First there was all the shipping, customs, etc. Then I also had to store it while I found a place to live and then transporting it from storage to my new place.
Then to be honest, I just don't think that it was worth the hassle and the only reason I did it was that my relocation was being paid for. I definitely wouldn't have done it if I was paying for it myself.
If it makes any difference I moved from the US to the UK.

we are in Perth and two years ago our British passports "ran out" so we decided to apply for our Australian ones as well...we did the cit. test and then applied for our passports in the mean time I downloaded our passports forms from Canberra and applied for them through the mail and within two weeks they were on our "doorstep" so to speak. I would like to see some of your replies about shipping though...we are heading back home in March and we are thinking of just selling most of our funrniture and just sending personnel and items we need to keep home!!!! we have been here for over 9 years now and are looking forward to going home!!!!
Good luck
