Hi guys,
Well after three years out in Adelaide we are making the move back to Scotland. Have loved our time here in Australia and its semi-reluctantly we move home but family and jobs make it necessary !
We moved out with nothing but have accumulated lots of stuff in three years. We have decided to sell furniture and most big stuff so only need to ship back small(ish) crates. I have seen lots of great advice on shipping companies from uk to oz.....whats the cheapest the other way around ?!
Moving in March so hoping to get the ball rolling pretty soon so any advice would be fantastic.
Cheers

If you've been here 3 years, are you entitled to PR? If so why not take out citizenship before you go - that way you won't have to worry about visas if you ever want to come back.

It's a shame you're not able to stay for that 4th year to enable you to get your citizenship. I don't know the full reasoning behind you going home but family & jobs figured in our reasoning for coming back to Scotland in 2009...we're heading back to Oz next year. It was a very expensive lesson to learn to live our lives for us and not our families, friends etc.
Good luck with your move. We used White & co I think to move back-we had no problems whatsoever with them.

It might be more beneficial to move this to the Moving Back To UK Forum as the guys in there may be able to help with the move from Aus to UK.
Good luck mate
