Well the furniture went Monday, the wife and Kids went Tuesday, the house sale fell through this week.
So my plans of an end of month return seem a little bleak.
Even if the house doesn't close by the end of the month I might just go anyway.
Can't wait. The odd thought of are we doing the right thing are totally gone and just looking forward to getting on with things. It's been a real rollercoaster, I'm glad we tried it and now glad we can move on.
Good luck to all wrestling with a similar decision.

I've followed your progress (not in a stalking way!!) as you've gone through the ups and downs of living in Canada since we've been here. I have no idea where we will end up but I'm glad we have tried living here even if we don't stay long term. At least it's an experience!
It's really good to know that you are sure of your decision so that you can move on and enjoy your future back in the UK.
Good luck to you and your family,
Chris

[QUOTE=SimonG]Sorry to hear your house sale went through my heart went out to you and your family because that could be us, we are conditional at the moment and have 10 days to wait until we go unconditional then we are hopefully flying back to the uk 4 weeks later so we are on the countdown with our fingers crossed. I symathise totally though becuase it happened to us when we were coming out here, i was due to leave for nz the next day when our buyers pulled out i had to still come but my husband stayed behind and virtually gave our house away so he could sell it and come and join me. I hope this time it is alot easier. all the best, will be thinking about you

On the house front it's been a couple of busy days with people going through. Everybody seems keener now that it's empty. But there's nothing more I would rather do than pack the bags and jump on the next plane. Still a mortgage to pay though, at least here I'm working, I don't know about my back though. I think I've kept the most uncomfy mattress we had.
Kids go back to school next week. The youngest on Monday, middle one on Tuesday and my eldest started working Thursday after landing Wednesday. He's keen.
Well back to sorting out my tax return and all the other bits and pieces to sort out.
Simon.

Simon. Dont worry, maybe the next one coming through will be the sale you are waiting for. Keep yourself busy and it will happen soon. At least you are well on your way. Good luck with it!
PhillyD. Have a safe trip and keep us posted. Those butterflies should calm down as soon as you see the lovely shores of home.
