Default Going Back To England For A Visit

Currently making plans to go back to the UK, between November 28th & December 9th.

Flying on AA on one of their Boeing 777s from Chicago to Heathrow and then renting a Renault Espace, from Avis. Will be taking a few road trips with the UK part of the family.

Jim.

Nice one. Hope you have a great time.

I'm off to London next weekend. Work trip - and only for a week - but enough time to squeeze in a few jars and curries with mates and bring back a case of Pot Noodles!

Pot Noodles....haven't had one of those for about 20 years. Bird's Trifle is my serious addiction.

Nice - which parts of the UK are you planning to visit?

I've just booked a trip back for Feb next year. I have 3 sisters who all live in different parts of the UK and for many years now the only time we all get together is for a long weekend in London.

Not to be missed, so I just have to fly over for it now

Will probably do some areas in the Lake District, as well as the Blackpool Illuminations and North Wales. too.

Will be staying just across the Mersey from Liverpool.

The English Shop up in St. Charles has them, according to their website anyway.

Enjoy, cherish every moment. Don't eat & drink too much of those British goodies.

I got back last Sunday from 10 days over there. Couple of days in London, then drove to a cottage we rented in Cornwall for a week. Rained one morning, but it was gorgeous the rest of the time. Had a blast, many beers, mucho wine and pies and pasties, and managed to limit myself to only 2 Pot Noodles.

Pot Noodles are for bringing back. How many curries did you have?

It's great to hear about everyone going 'home' for visits/trips etc, but it's making me homesick!

Keep 'em coming, all us who 'can't' get back yet, can enjoy it through you guys

Hope you have a great visit SE

Hey Englishtart - love your avatar!

I am heading back to Cheshire on the 10th November for 2 weeks, I will wave to Stockport Pyramid on approach if you like! I am intending to resist the temptation of a curry from the Raj in the village (just so yum) but with everyone mentioning them I don't know if my willpower will be strong enough. I am looking forward to shopping at a decent supermarket to bring back Sainsburys Red Label tea, chocolate advent calendars and these, lots of them:
