Default Getting US candy in the UK.

Why does America have the best sweets?!

When I was over in Orlando I got my hands on the new Tic Tac Chill candy. Since flying back I'm out and cannot find anywhere in the UK where they are imported. I've tried Cybercandy with no luck (at least from the offerings on their website), so I'm hunting alternatives.

Are there any importers of foreign sweets here in the UK likely to sell Tic Tac Chill? I really need some.

Partridges grocery down in Sloane Square area caters to a large US expat community around that area. They have a 'USA Section' in which they sell Oreos, Hershey, and other American items. You might get lucky there.

http://www.partridges.co.uk/

The folks on http://talk.uk-yankee.com/ would know right off the top of their head probably. Could post there.

Wow, Penguinesix! Thanks again!

I might give them a go tomorrow, as Sloan Square is literally a couple of stops on the Undergound for me.

Is this a serious post

This country has the most tasteless, bland crap as an excuse for sweets I have ever come across.......... us expats are willing to pay up to $5.00 for a good english bar of chocky. ... I buy Crunchies for $1.50 each and don't begrudge it

I can't eat the shit they call candy here, I will take the kids to buy chocs etc and go without myself if there is nothing british to buy

The Sloane Square one used to be under my office (I was in the same building). They've moved down to the new Duke of York Square which is just down a bit from the old store.

They have a branch store I found by accident one day while walking on Gloucester Road. I think it actually might have as much if not more American products there. Between Gloucester Road Tube and High Street Ken. 21 Gloucester Road.

But that Yank message board would really have some other gems. I just know these because of my office and where I crash when in London.

Naaah, I love the candy over in the US!

I remember when I was at Epcot there was the UK themed bit. A load of other brits were going mad for Cadbury's Milk Chocolate in a shop where you can by 'British stuff'! And the price must have been triple of what it costs over here.

I can understand, don't get me wrong, but the sight of them drooling over it had me in stitches!

I don't know what Tic Tac Chill is but I'm 99% certain it's nothing to do with chocolate.

I know, I know, there IS only one sweetie.. chocolate.
