Finding Rentals and Home Shares AND Offering Them
This thread is an attempt to match up those who have homes/flats to rent out or to share and those who are looking for them. A few people who are moving over are actively looking and a few people moving over are planning to buy homes to rent out. Let's see if we can match them up.
Post what you are looking for - or have to offer - including:
Location: County and village
Whether it is a live-in share arrangement or separate unit/home
By what date you expect it to be filled - or by what date you need it
Approximately monthly rental price/cost
Lease term

Re: Finding Rentals and Home Shares AND Offering Them
What I WANT is luvmeboy's place
What I NEED however, is short term self-catering accommodation for 1/2/3 weeks or however long it takes me to secure a rental agreement, in Outer London, suitable for 2 adults and a 7 year old. One room is fine. I need something for £300pw or less! The problem is that I don't have exact dates yet. Probably from around mid-April.
Then I also need a 2-bed flat in Bromley, South-East London/Kent borders. Chislehurst/Beckenham/West Wickam/Southern part of Orpington from mid/end April. I cannot go higher than £1000pcm.
Great idea by the way, Windsong

New listing!
I'm not sure what you need in terms of access to a rail station but Orpington is not that far away - just over a mile.

Re: Finding Rentals and Home Shares AND Offering Them
I currently have a house share semi organized for myself, but due to passport delays he might not be able to hold the room for much longer, so I need to try figure out something else just in case.
I'd love to have a place of my own, have shared for too long and want the luxury of some peace and quiet for a change...lol Although right now I can't afford to be too fussy because when I get back I won't have a job straight away and my budget will be tight.
Okay, enough rambling....am looking for a 1 bedroom flat anywhere along any of the 6 London transport zones, so near the transport and close to shops, would be idea. I can manage £500 per month at this stage, and it has to be furnished.
Or.... furnished double room in house/flat share ! I would prefer it to be just myself and one other person rather than a large house with lots of other people. I'm not unsociable by any means, but as I said earlier... I'm hoping to find somewhere a little quieter than I've been used to..lol. House/flat share would also have to be along transport zones as mentioned above.
Older household would be nice if at all possible, as I'm nearly 50 so wouldn't be suited to share with house full of young people..lol
Thanks for listening

This is a fantastic idea.
I am looking for a two bedroom place for myself and my daughter and the cat, probably by the summer. Needs to be in Essex though as that is where we are going to be based.

Yeah I like the idea of this post. We never know what properties may have just sitting there waiting for an expat to use.

It will be interesting to to see if this thread can match up lookers with "offerers"
