Default Etering the UK with CBD/THC prescription medication

Hi everyone

Has anyone experienced entering the UK with CBD/THC prescription medication? I have a valid cannabis prescription card here in Canada to help with my MS symptoms and am heading back home to the UK in January and would love to be able to bring my medication with me but not sure if the rule of less than 0.3mg THC in CBD products also applies to prescription medication?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

From what I can see, it's legal to import into the UK.

Always best to follow the official government guidance. According to this information, most forms of cannabis are a Schedule 1 drug, and THC is a Schedule 1 drug. There's quite a bit of info to go through but best to have a good read, you may be able to apply for a personal licence before you leave to carry your medication. Good luck with it, I know someone with MS who obtains great relief from her symptoms by using cannabis oil.

I emailed the home office yesterday just to double check and got the following reply, just wanted to share

'Cannabis is recognized in the UK as a schedule 1 drug. Schedule 1 drugs are not permitted for any length of time in the UK for visitors as there are no prescribed schedule 1 medicines.

Exception to this rule is if the medicine is deemed to be a cannabis based medicinal preparation (CBPM), this would make the product a Schedule 2 CBPM.

If an individual understands their product to fall under this category, they must provide a signed letter from their clinician explaining how they feel the products falls within Sch 2 CBPM, if the drug is a Sch 2 CBPM, then a personal licence can be applied for.'

It will be easier for me to just buy some new CBD oil when I get back to the UK I think
