Not to my knowledge it isn't. Anyway, I'm hitting the sack. Hopefully, no more quake tremors will hit. I tell you, it was quite a shock. There I was, minding my own business, when wham! I near left my seat involuntary!

I know now how close the quake's epicenter was to my own abode. It hit Market Rasen, where I shop and have friends.

Re: Earthquake in Hull/Scunthorpe area
sorry... but its a logarithmic scale... please don't assume people are dumb.
also in a country that has 1 earthquake every 10 years or so a 4.6 (or 5.3 as later reported) is significant.
personally I've been through lots as I lived in LA for several years.

But isn't everywhere close to London? If they had said Market Rasen I don't know of one single US friend that would be able to tell me where it was. It would be more like a game of pin-the-tail-on-the-bloody-donkey.

"Whur's 'Lincolnshar"? I get asked when in Texas. "Is that in London"?
"Huh, huh... London is spread way up north, did you know"
"Oh righty..."

Re: Earthquake in Hull/Scunthorpe area
It is reported that only 2.5% of Americans know of Belgium, let alone a small market town situated just north of Lincoln - in Lincolnshire (the second largest county in England).
