Will Have I some problem?
Thanks everybody

It's only 2011 now, did you leave in September 2011?
I'm sure someone will be along who knows the rules with the taxes.

This does not mean that you cannot work, it just means that your tax position will change.
I would suggest that you contact HMRC on your return. Don't spend the tax refund just yet.
Hope that helps

Assuming you left the UK in Sept 2011, the tax refund is being issued on the basis that you will not have any further UK income up to 5th April 2012 (end of the UK tax yr). If you do return before then and start working, you may no longer be entitled to the refund.

Thanks again
Anyway I didn't get the cheque yet (3 weeks ago they told me that it is on his way)

Tax issues can be very complicated, but I think this one is pretty simple.
So ... you may be liable for further income tax (your tax status has changed), but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to work, you just have to pay tax like the rest of us UK residents. Sorry.

I think it just means your UK tax situation has changed since you filled in the form ... you may now end up working in the UK during the current tax year, whereas you filled in the form asserting you would not work in the UK any more in the current tax year.

If they've given you a refund based on your no longer being in the UK, it will be by allowing you your tax free allowance for the whole rest of the tax year up to March 2011. So basically if you start work before April 2011 in the UK, you won't be due any tax free allowance. You will have to be taxed on code
0T which means you will pay a straight 20% (or 40%/50% depending if you have high earnings) on your entire salary. So don't sign a P46 if you start before April.
From April you would be due a normal tax code with a tax free allowance again. Probably you'd have to phone your employer's tax office up to arrange that, or sign a P46 at that point.
