No and neither will the south of England be under a foot of snow come December - however my Geography is just fine thanks - Bethlehem is in the Northern Hemisphere - it will be winter there at Christmas - yes Jesus was a Jew (so?) and no Christmas is not a pagan festival it is a Christian festival celebrating the birth of Christ.

Bethlehem is generally a fairly warm place. It'll be way warmer that the toasty Xmas you were on about in the UK. Therefore your comment about North & South hemisphere are rather daft as Bethlemen is closer to the equator than the North Pole.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the early Christians, who lived largely around the mediteranean didn't bother with Xmas trees and fake snow.
Christmas is at the end of December as early Christian priests thought they'd get a better reaction by celebrating his alleged birth then, as there was already a festival.
But if you want to celebrate the birthday of someone who may or may not have existed, on a date that no one can be certain about by buying into a load of commercialism and pretending that a strange man climbs down your chimney to give you gifts, then that is your privilege.

But still the Northern Hemp. and it is classed as Winter in Isreal the temp is not in the 30's or early 40's , the Catholic Church will not be pleased at the reference of Christmas being a pagan festival...not a lot of written evidence to that either...mainly heresay....I am neither of the above so I am inpartial.....
