British TV is the best in the World.
After living in Oz and Africa and have visited many Countries I can honestly say............TV in the UK has no equals.

personally I think that while there are individual American shows that are better than anything British TV produces within the same genre, the overall baseline quality of British TV is better.

lol, it took me 2.5 hours to watch a movie which was on over the weekend....the commercials we getting closer and closer together as the movie progressed...towards the end of the movie...I'd lost the plot of the film..lol...I think the original movie was 1hr.45mins....never again...back to good old fox t.v...it's costs the earth nowadays but well worth not having commercials...although they are creeping in there....bad as it is "pay tv"....I will never complain about paying for a t.v. license again......

Exactly why I tape movies on the commercial channels. It just isn't worth the bother. Saying that, I am a big downloader of UKTV and my regular Corrie occupies a 30 mins timeslot back home and the show is just over 21 minutes long. 9 mins of ads in 30 mins is also quite a lot. I think it is because generally the ads are better quality in the UK we don't notice it quite as much.
