My friend has a question :
He use the youth visa to come to the UK then he successfully switched to a BNO visa.
The question is: Does he need to send back the BRP to the home office or not? (he cannot find any information about this on government website)

Yes; the Tier 5 YMS BRP should be cut into quarters and returned by post. His BN(O) grant notification letter should tell him where to send it.
