Default Banking Questions

Hello

What's is the benefits of me setting up a HSBC Premier account for my return to the UK. I do have an UK bank account not HSBC, which I maintained.

In Canada, I can transfer money from my Cdn account to my UK debit account. It there an easy system to use in the UK or is that why HSBC becomes helpful.

I will have to pay a few Canadians bills when I return, what's the easier option to do this.

I'd say that you don't need the major advantage which is being able to open a UK account while still in Canada. You say you already have a Uk account.

The other advantages are transfer of your Cdn credit record to HSBC-UK for the purposes of getting a credit card with a reasonable limit on it and the ability to move money around between all your accounts online free of fees using Globalview.

Thank you, I have a UK credit card with a very decent credit limit, so that resolves that issue.

It's just transferring funds on a regular basis I need to sort out. Is it worth opened an account to just use Globalview. Ummm

It's probably not worth it just for Globalview... if you want to decrease the transaction costs from standard bank wire fees look at using one of the many forex companies.
