The guys often putting round with their cars and the girls having/going for a coffee or tea or going for a stroll or some window shopping. Other times we'd just all sit around our friends place we visited and chat etc. Was never a big deal where you had to be 'penciled in' for a visit. If they were busy, we'd catch up with them later, and just shoot off and visit someone else

We did this in the UK, just a couple of the women, bottle of wine and chick flick. I think I'm asking too much for it to happen here though and I don't have years to work at it. :(

well I haven't been here that long..(3 months) but hoping to escape back to normality in next week or so. Scotch that...WILL be !! Cannot wait. As for what to do first I have an A4 list of local places to visit. I am a bit worried about husband though as he is more reluctant to return. However we agree we will appreciate whatever we have in the future SO much more after this little expensive episode! Call it our mid life crisis! x;)

Bill Bryson once said that he liked the UK because he needed only one set of clothes. He could use these all year.

I don't have any time for people who moan about the weeather, less for people who make life choices based upon the weather. Weaklings!

The Uk is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I live in South Cambs and am about to take my dog out through the fields under bright blue skies where I will enjoy a solitary walk surrounded by miles and miles of rolling coutryside, birdsong and bracing fresh air.

Softies.

oh yes, For good! Despite visiting here before I do think you have to chuck away your old life before realising what the hell you have done, and also to feel the feelings.Lived in lots of places in the UK, mostly Dorset and that is where we are headed. Hopefully back to our old village depending on work though.
I am looking foward to relishing my life more and enjoying every day. I am simply existing here. I want our boys to have their happy Mummy back. Here we are on the North NSW coast...fabulous, can't fault it ( for Oz!) but it will never be our home and I do not belong here nor does my heart or soul.:(

Hey St. Georges Girl...

Just back rosy-cheeked from walking the terrier across the fileds. Don't envy me.

However, since I am evil i offer you the chance to use Google Earth to go here: 52 02 17.44 , 0 05 06.06. Then you can trace your finger around my dogwalk... through the fileds... imagine the cold sunshine, the brambles and headgerows, splashing through the puddles in wellington boots and seeing a small herd of deer.

Now I am off to the cacophany of london, the screeching grinding undergroud to Victoria, crowds of people hacking up phlem on the trains... - If that imagry helps...
