hiya guys
another one back home......we arrived back on the 1st aug, was a very strange experience, was emotional on landing in manchester, not sure if it was relief or sadness?? still dont know!! very weird experience...
first few days we were all mixed up, not sure what we were doing, but i must say 10days later it feels home. Theres such a lot to do when arriving, we have been so busy, car hunting, sorting council tax, child benefits, childrens tax credit, registering with drs, etc etc.....
we are camping out in our house, beginning to get a bit fed up with the airbed, so have just treated ourselves to a king size bed!! got used to that one in oz!!
lovely to be back home, i miss my ozzie friends terribly and although i hear off them frequently, this makes things difficult as it brings it all back again, if you know what i mean.
weather here has been great, and to smell freshly cut english grass again!! even today its raining and thats ok (for now)!!
next is job hunting, good luck to all of you still in oz!
take care, mandxxx

Ditto from me too. You are lucky you had a house to go back to, it certainly must make things alot easier.

hello guys, internet sporadic at the moment!
our house is only a rental, not too chuffed with it in all honesty, we did the deal whilst in oz without seeing it, but our overwhelming need was a house in the girls school catchment, so we will just have to put up with it. its sooo tiny, the garden is four slabs out and that again with grass, not good with three kids and a dog!!!!! our kitchen fits one person in at a time!! the kids wont be able to even have their trampoline up
but its only a six month rental.....still feels good to be back thoxxxxxxx

with lots of difficulties!!!
we registered with every estate agent and kept their websites on our favourites. It was my first job of the day checking them each morning then ringing the estate agents come 6pm!! we didnt get anywhere until we started offered 6months rental upfront. worth doing if your able.
