Where in the UK would you live if you were looking for the following:
1) Close to the Mountains
2) Close to outdoor activities such as mountaineering
3) Lots of young people around (Mid 30's)
4) Lots of admin jobs
I was thinking of Chester due to its close proximity to Snowdonia.
What do you think?

My cousin lives in Harrogate and he is very much into hiking. I haven't been there yet but I've heard it's a lovely area.

We're about 10miles from Chester and it's perfect for the criteria you have mentioned.
Mountains nearby, thirty somethings, admin jobs probably plentiful as MBNA and M&S have their headquarters there, lovely city centre, a quaint and trendy place to be really. Close enough to the lakes and the peaks too!
I would move there if I wasn't moving to Oz!
Hope this helps
