another one going home

I wonder how many couples do split up after migrating as I've come across it a few times. Sad really, for those going back alone, I wish you well and hope happiness finds you again.

We are still together but the decision to move back to the UK was unanimous with joint reasons. Since our return we have had an enormous strain on our relationship and it doesnt help when he would return to Oz yesterday and I am of the opinion the only time I will return is for a holiday there is no way on this earth that I will go live there (at least not while I have a little one) again.
This has caused many arguements and I have even said well if you go back you are on your own but if thats what you want to do that is fine by me.
He seems a little bit more settled now and has not mentioned going back for a few weeks. Doesnt help when his old work collegues keep sending him emails with job opportunities.

When I have spoken to people of my own seperation, I seem to hear many stories of couples coming out and splitting up when they get here.
Why I don't understand, but in my own experience, this man I have spent over a quarter of a century with is not the same since we landed.
I put it down to his head being upside down here :scared:

Good Luck Micheala to you and your daughter on your return, I hope it all works out for you. We have been back 3 1/2 years now and although I miss friends in Oz I am glad we made the decision to return.

Great sense of humour Whisky. Love it! Gave me a really good giggle
Even among the obvious difficulties being faced.

I wish you and others setting off back home all the very best.
