Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!
OK, so it might not seem like much to some, but to me this is a biggie
A little while ago on another Forum (oops!) someone mentioned that Madness are playing Melbourne at the end of March. I (as a HUGE fan) got myself in a bit of a tis and asked the old man if we could go, to which he replied 'no'. (oh well, he's right really, we can't really afford it, as we go home soon and who do we get to look after Ruby while we're away?).
Anyway, I (sort of) get over it, when I get a Facebook message from my friend asking for a favour - can I look after her kids on 1st April whilst her and her husband GO AND SEE MADNESS IN ADELAIDE!!!!!!!!! Well I nearly fell off my chair! I honestly cannot believe they are coming here, what on earth do I do now? This (damn good) friend is having Ruby for us overnight when we move out of the rental and I really think I owe her this one, and we probably still really can't afford to go anyway - BUT I WANT TO!!!!!
Am I weird? does anyone else still feel this way over a group? I have been obsessed with Madness since I was about 11! I know I'll probably get another chance to see them in the UK, but they'll be so near! God I sound like an idiot, but truthfully, if I we're in the UK, this wouldn't even be a problem, great eh?!
FFS I really need to go home

I see you are up at a ridiculous hour again...like me!!
I would wait till you go home S. The woman is doing you a favour and just think. Wouldnt it be better to go see them amongst your own people with a far greater fan base back in UK? I reckon it would be a better show!

Cheapest tickets are 90 bucks, not bad! I think my friend's OH want to see them too (as would my old man) so not really fair to leave them at home - even though I should go 'cos I am the BIGGEST MADNESS FAN EVER!!!!!!!!

hee, hee, I started humming 'baggy trousers' when I read this post.
I also cannot believe madness are still touring and together and performing.
My cousin(who I used to socialise with all the time in my late teens.early 20's) was a huge fan of madness too.
'Our house, in the middle of our street'!!!

Just a little update to this situation: my lovely friends have obviously realised that we would want to go to the concert ourselves and I had a really lovely phone call saying that they had mde alternative arrangement and we were to go and book tickets forthwith! So we are now the proud holders of two Madness tickets directly behind our friends, so we can all go together
I then told my mum this on msn the other day (feeling rather pleased for myself) only for her to say 'oh bugger, I've just bought you tickets to see them in Norwich (Norwich?!?!) in June, for your birthday when you get back
Looks like I'm seeing them twice this year then! Not a problem for me though - It Must be Love
