50th Birthday
It's my 50th birthday.
I was instructed to take the day off yesterday by my wife and daughter and we drove South from Sydney to a 'secret location'.
Stopped in Berry for lunch, got past Nowra, then saw a sign for Rick Stein @ Bannisters.
Told to turn left for Mollymook and checked in last night and had an amazing dinner in the restaurant.
Next year we will visit one of his places in Padstow and if things go very well we'll visit the Heston Blumenthal place The Fat Duck.
Thanks to my wife and duaghter for such a lovely surprise.
Are there any particular restaurants in the UK that you would recommend or are looking forward to going to when you are back in the UK?

A 'belated' Happy Birthday to you!
OMG - I will be 50 in six months and in the post I've just received an invitation to join the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons)
The letter went straight in the bin unopened (I saw the logo on the envelope) and my spouse who is 10 months older than me was getting these letters last year...
Moneygrubbers....
